Home Safe and Sound, a Good Hike in North Carolina
Will post more later. Had a great hike 7.0 miles and rock climbed for .5 a miles to the top. Great exercise, only because I had great books.
We are on the AP ( Appalachian trail) a few times. Will start out with a couple of photos.
How did y'alls weekend go? Any fund-raisers for Buggs?
More later dear friends.

North Carolina is a slice of heaven. Glad you enjoyed yourselves! Say, what kind of hiking boots do you have? I have got to replace mine....
great pics, Cin. I've been out "campaigning" and spreading the word for true change. glad you had such a nice vacation. Now you are all refreshed and we can start working on this economy. the major party candidates sure as hell aren't gittin' 'er done. They are too busy kicking each other in the electorial votes.
reguards yer we're in like Flynn pal bugg
How are the old feet holding up there, CindyLou?
Great pictures! I loved the cabin and scenery. I always get homesick around this time of year and the pictures only help to feed it.
My idea of "roughing it" is having to call for extra towels and carrying my own ice bucket. There is just something about a cabin in the mountains though that brings me peace. Wish I had been with ya!
Nice pics. Have always heard the AT is a great hike.
Great Cabin
pretty.
Great pics Cin, thanks for sharing. Glad y'all had a nice time.
Nice looking there. So quiet and peaceful.Glad that you had a great time.
I had read over at Jondude's blog that you had been on a hike. So, I thought I would drop by and take a look. What a cozy cabin and the picture of you looks great. That picture must have been taking before the hike. I never look that good after the hike. Glad you had a good time.
Love the photos! It looks as if your family really believes in getting back to nature. That's what I would love to do--have a cabin in the mountains or on a lake somewhere.
Great place for hiking! My wife and I hiked the AT for four days some years ago just south of the Nantahala Outdoor Center. Naturally, it rained the first three days...
Wish I had gone with you!!!
cindy, that is my kind of place! I bet you had a blast! can't wait to hear about it all.
So serene looking. What a place!
Glad you are back!! Great pics. Isn't western North Carolina beautiful? We went to the Great Smoky Mountains back in 1985 and into Cherokee, NC. Just lovely!! I posted some pics. of the Texas State Fair on my site over at blogster stop in and take a peek. We had a blast last weekend. We went to the fair on Friday and to see The Beverly Hills Chihuahua movie on Saturday. Such a fun, fun weekend plus celebrating hubby's birthday and going out to a nice steak house.
