Round and Round and Round We Go

I'm in another Round Robin with my guild and so far, I've worked on three strips or rows. Instead of adding borders around a center medallion as we did last year, we are doing rows or columns for each quilt. The first person makes a strip or a row and sets the length or width of the rest of them. She may also write a note in her quilt journal to help the rest of us figure out what she may like or want for her quilt. Then one at a time, we prepare a strip for the quilt and write a note in the journal. We exchange once a month and pass the quilt strips, etc., on to the next person in line. I cannot remember whether we have one or two more exchanges in this one. Anyway, here are the three I've done.
This is the first row I did for this year's round robin. I'm calling it "76 Red Hens Led the Big Parade." It's for a friend who is making a red, white and blue quilt. She keeps telling me that she likes my sense of humor; I hope she means it! I have asked her over and over and over what her favorite color of rick rack is but she just won't tell me! Guess it'll have to be a surprise!

M's quilt. I did the top row, the owner gave us the strip of fabric at the bottom. She is a lot busier than she anticipated after having her second child...

As soon as I saw the first column, I wanted to work on this quilt. The owner's original column is on the left. Mine is on the right. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it as soon as I saw it. I did have to go get more rick rack but that's all right; I love the stuff.

The last one is my first strip. I didn't make the blocks, I inherited them from an aunt when she was downsizing. I love the rich colors and had lots of material left over so I thought, why not? I'm looking forward to seeing the end result.

A strip of fabric counts? Here. Here's a hunk of cloth, now the rest of you applique up something original to go with it. That top row of transportation examples is adorable. I'm going to have to take you more seriously haven seen that.

WOW, these are great! You are one busy bee! I'm still working on my charm square quilt and my picnic quilt with all the fruit on it. Will send photos. Lynell has already made 4 quilts and she is just a beginner! Did you get my letter by the way?

Well, I'm just pea-green with envy! One day *raises fist in air*, with the help of God I'll make a quilt! (Scene stolen from GWTW.)
