Good for you. If I could get DISH for $15 a month, I might give up my rabbit ears. I hadn't watched for over 10 years and got so much more done! But living alone got to be too quiet and a couple of years ago I started watching again. As I had feared it's on most of the time.

Our new governor in Michigan is proposing cuts on par or worse than Wisconsin's. He seems he!! bent on balancing the budget on the backs of the lowest paid public service employees, teachers and cops, but hasn't said anything about judges or legislators. He even wants to eliminate all deductions from the state income tax.

Have you asked any of those neighbors over to dinner since you've been single? I don't invite people over very often, so I don't expect to be invited much.

I know this is late, but want to chime in anyway. I was in horrible pain - an 8 on the 1 to 10 scale. The doc called it burning mouth syndrome and prescribed Lidocaine Viscous solution. It 's a liquid you swish around and numbs your mouth almost immediately. If there's a next time, ask for it. Another thought is Goody's Headache Powder. It's only available in the south so you should be able to find it. I recommend the flavored kind. I hope you got better quickly - sounds like you were miserable.

Yup, it's not easy being single. I think it's harder for a female though. Lots of married women are suspicious of us. At a former job, we used to unwind at a near by bar and grill. One woman was there with her husband and she had to leave. He stayed. As she was leaving, she said, "Now Karen don't try any of your single-woman wiles on John."

I spoke to the boyfriend yesterday and he said the tag arrived. So, where the he!! was it for the past two and a half weeks??? On the other hand, the package his son sent to him a few days later was returned. What the heck is that about? I sent a package with mom's address book on Monday. We'll see if she gets it.

I was down for almost three weeks. Came back relaxed and refreshed too. Then we got hit with the mother of all storms and reality set in. Can't wait to go back.
