Zebra mussels are the problem in Lake Michigan. Currently the big problem is Asian Carp. They jump around like a maggot on a hot rock. They haven't made it into the lake yet, but it doesn't seem to take such nasties long to get everywhere. Sorry you have those ants - they sound like a nightmare. We don't have fire ants yet. Phew! If we ever do get them, mom has a garage full of fire ant killer. I think she meant to take it to Florida but it never made it. We're prepared until I throw that out.

Congrats on getting the job done Sue! Who would have come up with such a bizarre way to screw them together? Never heard of it before.

Looks like fun! I went to Campfire Girls camp every summer from 1st grade on and loved it. I'd like to go again.

I'm curious and interested in reading it - especially after his comment on this post. I tried to find the post and can't. What's the title? I agree about outward appearances - not important in my book - except for cleanliness and smiles.

I vote for a bumper sticker too! I have a friend who had a hysterectomy through two tiny incisions - Laparoscopic surgery? Her recovery was much faster than the traditional method and pain was minimal.

Do you really think Maria didn't know about his cheating? The maid wasn't the only one - he had a history of promiscuity before they married and he continued his philandering throughout the marriage. It surely hurt the marriage and his children and shows a poor character. If a man or woman has such a lack of integrity, they are not trustworthy.
On another note, I feel very bad for the child - what a horrible way to find out your dad isn't your father after all. I hope Mom handles it well so it doesn't damage him. How devoted was Arnold to that boy?
