Before I give the answer and show another pic, can someone tell me why the pics I upload here come out a lot smaller than they are? It sure would be better if they uploaded the same size as they are in my file.

Okay the answer to the previous pic is, it's the surface of a strawberry viewed under an electron microscope...I dont know how many times it is magnified though, sorry.

Here's the next one....have a guess what this is....also magnified lots of times.

Thank you to everyone who made a guess, some interesting answers and funny ones too...I've got others but I am trying to find a way to upload the pics so they stay the original size....BIG!!!....so will do some more next time.

The answer to this one by the way is....the head of a mosquito viewed through an electron microscope, obviously magnified a few thousand times.
