Sorry I dont have too many photos of this place. It was getting pretty late in the afternoon and darkness was creeping in as the skies got overcast. For those of you who saw the Julia Roberts film EAT PRAY LOVE, this is the monkey forest that was in the movie and it's the same bridge that she stood on in the monkey forest scene. It's a beautiful place too, lots of statues and bridges and huge trees and thousands of monkeys running around. None of the monkeys were afraid of humans and interactions with them was nothing short of magical. The only problem with the place was the humidity. Once you walked down the steps to that bridge, the thick jungle of trees just seemed to trap heat and humidity and you get saturated walking through the place. It is a tad uncomfortable.
This first photo is the entance to the park.
These two statues are of a couple of the Gods protecting the place. Boob job anyone??
My favorite thing about this place....the babies!! How cute is this little guy!!
This guy was just so totally bored and so over all the fuss and the cameras...lol.
Another of the many statues carved out of stone and centuries old. Many of these statues had to be restored.
More monkey pics.
These two were grooming each other, they looked so "in love"...lol.
This is the bridge you see in the movie.
It goes down a fair way but it was getting too dark and a little bit creepy.
I couldnt get over how magnificent the trees are and how they created these "roots" that went from the canopy to the ground....Amazing.
This is all I was able to take at this place unfortunately

Lovely hideaway ... thanks.
He's not bored. His girlfriend just ditched him for a gorilla and he's thinking about jumping.
"This guy was just so totally bored and so over all the fuss and the cameras...lol." I know just how he feels!!!!
