Werefore Art Thou MyBloggers?

I had an impulse to see who I was when I started blogging on MyBloggers, so I clicked on my first post. There were no comments and I didn’t think much of that, believing that it might take a few posts before I got any readers. But I kept clicking on succeeding posts and no comments and when I got to the post where I remarked on the passing of Arthur C. Clarke, and included a photo taken at a Hydra (sci fi) meeting in a fan’s apartment where he and I were sharing a couch, the photo was NOT THERE. The caption was there, but no picture. And I know there were comments because I remember them.

I kept clicking – this is time consuming, so I stopped at about post 25 or so – all blank for comments. Would you check your own blogs? I’m upset over this. I had the plan (okay I procrastinate) to print each out with responses and put in a binder.

Since Eddie is in the wind, can’t even ask him. Bummer.

Also I found the photo I refer to in my pix files and tried to upload it here and, whadayaknow, it's too big. Suddenly? How come it posted the last time? Techy rage here.

xx, Teal

One of the several reasons I left mybloggers (although here I am).

Comments on my posts before June 2010 are gone too. I think Eddie is trying to save money somehow. I don't always put photos in my articles, but I found that some of the earliest ones embedded in my posts are missing. The ones I have in my photo section are fine. I wish Eddie would show up.

Everything is just a "work in progress".

I'm tired of working--I just want the progress! LOL

I learned several years ago that nothing is forever on the Internet, so if I find something I think I'll still care about in a couple of years, I save it to my computer. Out of curiosity, I looked at my earliest posts in Blogster, and the photos are not there. It's hard to know how many comments I should have been getting back in my earliest days, because it took awhile for people to find me, but there are some comments, so I guess they must all be there.

Okay I found it--no comments but there is a picture

I don't see anything under posts that say 1--except for 1 of 267 which means I have to go back 1 page at a time and I'm not goimg to do that

Since the posts and comments should still be in the database, the information shouldn't be gone. It may take some work on Eddie's part to make it show again, however.

I haven't found photos missing yet, but comments on lots of posts of mine are now gone. About 2 years' worth.

My first four articles have no comments and I know there were some originally. All my pictures seem to be in place.

my comments are gone as well on early posts.

I have 3,901 posts and if I knew a quicker way of going back to the beginning I would! LOL

At the bottom of any post of yours, under the comments box, there is a menu item that says "first" -- that is your first post. Looking at each one is the time cruncher.

Teal, I just looked back at a few initial posts on my Loose Robes blog and the comments were still there.
