Susil

On New Year’s Eve I phoned Sue (Susil) and we had a lengthy chat and I wished her a Happy New Year.

She is feeling blue because her rehab is going slowly, she has no feeling in her legs, her doctor won’t listen to her. She thinks she has a congenital condition that has led to muscle weakness and her present situation.

She can’t stand nor walk and her daughter(s) must help her in and out of bed and into a wheelchair. Car trips are difficult because of this.

I did the best I could to cheer her up. She would probably love to get more people checking in on her. Private message me if you don’t have the phone number, and I will supply it.

The good news is that she has reconnected to her family and there is a lot of good feeling.

xx, Teal

I was wondering what was happening with her... hadn't seen an update recently. Must be terribly frustrating to be in that condition.

Thanks for the update. Disabilities are especially hard on people who
are as independent as Sue.

Bless her heart. I've been sending her cards and letters, but will give her a call. Did you get a sense of when is the best time to call? I hate to interrupt whatever she has going on.

I called her in early evening ... one daughter had gone to a New Year's event, and the other was home with her. Just take a chance -- if it's not a good time, you can always reconnect.
