Ben Carson, Newest Nutjob to Run for President

This is what I posted on his Facebook page.

Got your E mail where you claim the liberal media have mislabeled you. I don't need the liberal media to tell me you are not my choice. First, you are a Republican in a time when most every Republican has caved to the base, the religious right, the money men. If you want my vote, talk about preserving Planned Parenthood, about aiding single mothers (most popular Republican position, have the baby and starve--or die because the fetus is toxic, as has happened), about raising the minimum wage. If you cared about "what would Jesus do", your choices would be mine. If you have the message that helps instead of destroys the poor and the middle class, then you would have humane policies and would not need gerrymandering to highjack elections. Why do Republicans feel they need to cheat to win?

The day after their 2012 loss, Rance Priebus (chairman of the Republican National Committee) said maybe a little self-evaluation was necessary, maybe some outreach to minorities, and those not in the one percent was needed. Then, overnight, he changed his mind and said, no, no, we just didn't make ourselves clear. We didn't successfully put our message out there. He was wrong. The Republican message was loud and clear and it sucked. It took something away from women, from minorities, from the poor, from seniors, from the middle class. It put the entire tax burden for the expense of running the government on the middle class and the poor and protected the wealthy.

Not raising taxes on the wealthy, when you are doing so on everyone else, is like the breadwinner in a family telling the spouse, the money I make is all mine and you are out of luck.

And if you get anywhere near the nomination and the presidency, it is because, against all odds, Barack Obama paved the way. You would be standing on his shoulders. You should be grateful he fought the odds and managed to have a successful presidency with the weight of Republican obstructionism (shut down the government in order to destroy Obamcare? – no problem) on his back.

Yours sincerely, HSL

xx, Teal

Never fear. This guy won't even place or show. He'll have to sit in the back of the clown bus.

Bravo! My sentiments. We are something more than breeding machines I
would hope and I find it ludicrous that men want to dictate any aspect
of a woman's health. They aren't so quick to step up to the plate when
the responsibility for child care and child support comes around. I grew up during the depression when an unwanted pregnancy was a crushing
blow and there was no way safe alternative. I love babies but I want
them safe from abuse and neglect and malnourishment once they are here.
