I had my interview and am waiting for a call to see if I got the new job. Less hours and more money! How can I go wrong?

Sis will be home in a week and I have to revamp the whole upstairs to get ready. We're switching bedrooms. Hubby thinks I'm nuts wanting to re-do the rooms but I will need a private place, besides the bathroom, to keep my head straight. Even if I get the new job I'm gonna need a spot for me.

I'm very blessed. My grandson thinks I'm the greatest thing since peanut butter and jelly and my hubby worships the ground I walk on. But that all comes with a price. After working 10 to 12 hours a day I barely make it in the door and Ra needs this and Hubby needs that, and now I'll have my Sis needing something too. I'm not complaining, venting perhaps. Ok, whining a bit. LOL!!!

We had a nice Easter. Just the three of us and a ham with mashed potatoes and asparagus. I got a heck of a deal on asparagus this week. The produce manager was gonna send it all back and they gave her credit for it and then left it with her so you know I was first in line for some because she and I are friends. I ended up with about 15 pounds. It is so good tho'. Just don't put it under the broiler and forget about it, the stink is horrible.

The sun is out everyday but there's still a good chill in the air. The river freezes at night but thaws in the daytime. Have you ever heard the ice cracking when it thaws? A sound like no other. The first time I heard it I thought a meteor was crashing in the back yard. It actually cracks and pops out of the water. The guys say the bob-houses jump right off the ground when they are out ice fishing.

Does anybody really care what a politician did 20 or 30 years ago? You know what I was doing 20 or 30 years ago, dropping acid and being a total screw up. I'm paying for it today but it's all good, I'm the nicest person I know. I'm responsible, I take care of myself and my family without any outside resources, I'd be a great Mayor.

Oh My Goodness! I got the job! They just called. I start on the 14th of April. I told them I had to give notice to my current job. $10.75 an hour. Bonuses every four months and benefits galore. I'm doing a happy dance!!!
