Banged again. My toe that is. At class last night we were doing some combinations that involved kicks and I kicked the wrong part of my partner's padding and jammed my toe. Ouch. It's been a few weeks since I've done that. I'm trying to be careful about it.
I read a few news articles about the bailout. One said that it's much harder to get loans in the last few months than in the months prior to that. That doesn't surprise me and I can't say that's a bad thing either considering how risky loans led to our current situation.
Kitty is excited because the new season of "Fetch with Ruff Ruffman" started yesterday :-) I don't like how it's a new show daily. That adds up to a lot of TV.
Dolly talked to the owner of the building next door over the weekend. Though the building is patched and primed, they are still going to replace some of the wood, so that's why it still hasn't been painted yet. She also mentioned that I fixed the gate and explained why. The woman rolled her eyes and said that was her father-in-law that must have put in the stick for the kludge, but didn't have anything to say about my fix, except "thanks".
The reason Dolly and I went to the mall was to buy more wine glasses for a dinner party this weekend. Back in the spring we, along with a total of 12 parents, bought a dinner at the school auction. It's finally happening, at our house, this weekend. The people who we "won" it from is providing the food and wine, but cooking and serving at our house. After assessing our plates, bowls, and glasses, Dolly determined that we had a bunch of mismatched glasses and it would be nice if we had a matched set for the dinner. That's when we were off to the mall.
She spent that afternoon cleaning the patio in preparation for it. I checked the weather while blogging. AFTER reporting the weather to her, she said that she'll remind everyone to bring jackets/sweaters.
Perhaps we are set now.
