Told me aunt about our cat and Christmas tree problem and how our daughter set up one of those foldable, indoor pet fences around the tree, but he still jumps over that and plays in the tree. She suggested that he was part squirrel :-) It's been nice having our daughter home for winter break. I took off from work so I could be home too. We don't see her much because she's away at college and usually busy with a boyfriend. She broke up with the current one at Thanksgiving, so freer. Pottery class finished in mid-December. I don't know what we're going to do with the pieces I made. They are not that good, so I guess toss them. Still deciding whether to take the next level class so I can get better at it. The class will be a lot of work, evenings and weekends, like this class was. I had tendon surgery in an elbow a year ago and I have to also weigh attending class against the potential to have calcification removed from that tendon, which will mean six weeks rest for recovery. The pain is not that bad, so probably okay.

I vote that you get rid of the early pottery attempts in case they might be discouraging. But of course that's just my opinion, so you don't have to pay attention to it.

That's kind of what I was thinking too

Cats and Christmas trees are not compatible. I don't have a cat now but I love them and fully understand.

It would be nice to decorate a tree again though :-(

Lots of decisions.
I’m glad you are able to spend ample time with your daughter.

Thanks. Good that you worked about a holiday plan yourself. Yours was much more complicated.
