The good thing about being alone for a few days... you can turn the music way up and take advantage of the solitude. Sounds like you are truly smitten. I have a similar feeling re Gershwin's "Rhapsody in Blue," which one day I'd like to teach myself to whistle. Not exactly concert quality, but an entertaining endeavor nonetheless.
I guess it's like being grandparents: you get to enjoy the kids, but then they go home with the parents and you can relax.
