Keeping cats off counters is a continual battle. Try brushing your teeth with a live cat tail in the sink! Although we have had some success keeping them off the kitchen counter, it has been a struggle when it comes to the table where we eat as well as the bathroom, as you can see. The cat in question here is Fancy Pants, a name you would understand if only I could get a photo of her as she walks away from me. It is as if she is wearing pantaloons.
As you can see, Fancy Pants is a beauty. She is also the head cat in the house. We also sometimes call her Princess, or Blondie. To quote the great T.S. Eliot:
The Naming of Cats is a difficult matter,
It isn't just one of your holiday games;
You may think at first I'm as mad as a hatter
When I tell you, a cat must have THREE DIFFERENT NAMES.
T. S. Eliot, the author of "Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats," knew what he was talking about.
