Ups & Downs

MY KIDNEY FUNCTION is UP and my blood pressure is DOWN.  These are good things.  It wasn't too long ago that I didn't even know what a nephrologist was, and now I have one!
Our rainfall frequency is UP and the heat index is DOWN.  These are good things.  Typically, when the weather prediction is for 30% chance of rain, we don't see any.  But lately, that 1/3 prospect has been delivering at least some precipitation.
The Dodgers are UP with a 7.5 game lead in the NL West and the Yankees are DOWN, in fourth place in the AL East.  These are good things.  Them Bums have produced a phenom in Yasiel Puig and the Yankees have produced a bum (lower case b) in Alex Rodriguez.
My blogging enjoyment level is UP since MyBloggers is working again, but my expectations are DOWN when it comes to this site's dependability.  So there is good & bad in everything.  It sure would have been nice for them (???) to warn us re the down time and thank us for our suffering patience.  I left two phone messages for them (before they stopped even accepting messages) and told them Elvis, I mean Eddie, had left the building, for all the good that'll do.
There are UPS & DOWNS, I suppose Newton once said.  An apple fell out of a tree and conked him on the head.  He tossed it up in the air and it came back down.  "There are ups & downs... I think I'll call it gravity."

I wish I had know the whole site was having issues. Today is the first day I've been able to get on the site using my laptop since mid July. I could get on with my iPhone but that screen is too small to spend much time reading, etc. What phone number did you have and where did you get it? I did find an email address but the instructions were so complicated I couldn't follow them.

Speaking of ups and downs, those E.D. commercials continue on and on and on. Enough already!

There are so many good things to celebrate. Especially your health. Being
well is such a blessing.

It would appear that your list has more positives than negatives and that is a good thing. Lucy, in the Charlie Brown strip, once snarled (I think I saved that one) Ups! Ups! All I Want Is Ups!!! A girl after my own heart.

And for those w/o sufficient Ups... "The Doctor is IN -- 5 cents"

It's funny how the 30% in summer becomes precipitation more often than it does in the winter. Around here, seems like it has to be at least 60% to get any moisture in the winter. I think it would be fun to be out driving in the desert under a full moon with nobody around and turn out the headlights.

I am so happy to hear about the increased kidney function. I am also glad to see your recognition of the Dodgers Yasiel Puig since he was called up from the Chattanooga Lookouts earlier this year. Unfortunately the Lookouts have suffered from his loss. The few games I have been to were fun but losses. The beer, hotdog and peanuts were well worth it though.

My sister living in Utah has mentioned the same. When we talk about the terrible dryness, she said one huge compensation was the stars you can see at night.

Oh yes, the stars!! In the country, with no city lights to speak of, the nighttime sky is phenomenal, and the full moon seems fuller and brighter and more magnificent.
