Fredo posted a photo of my truck (and license plate), so you know what it looks like. I'd like to say a few words about "Old Blue".
Every now and then, I get the urge to buy a new truck. It's in my blood. My father was a car dealer, and we had new cars all the time. It was always the joke that he knew what year we went somewhere or did something by the make and model of the car he was driving at the time.
Anyway, my Dodge Dakota is an '04 with nearly 79,000 miles on it. That averages about 10-11 thousand miles a year, much of which coming from trips to Utah, Vermont, Florida, etc. And the golf course (17 miles round trip).
I love my truck, however. It's got everything I want. I've never had a bit of trouble with it (dare I say that?). It's comfortable, roomy, handy (like for hauling firewood), and reasonably gas efficient (22 mpg ave.). Plus, it's just the right size for me--not too big, not too small. Oh yes, it's paid for!!
It was rear-ended once (in 2010), but otherwise, unscathed. I take it for granted because of its reliability. So I doff my hat to a sweetheart of a truck. I plan to hang on to it for many more years.
