Greetings. Despite making several "mybloggersites" angry over the past year, I continue to contribute to this site. (I have this "foot in mouth" malady that seems to irritate some former readers, to which I say "tough darts".)
Since I returned from my California trip, it's been a busy week. Time to rehash some events.
Yes, I've golfed--that goes without saying. I even got in two days of jogging over the weekend. My legs feel it.
I've rolled, mowed, and trimmed my yard. Remember, I have an acre's worth to take care of. I trim by hand clippers (no weed eater)and usually rake the grass clippings for compost and mulch.
Fruit trees have been sprayed (no, I'm not "organic"), driveway weeds "Round-upped". And the garden is finally planted! All that's left is sweet potatoes. I've already eaten kale, lettuce/spinach, asparagus and rhubarb, along with many herbs (dill, cilantro, chives, etc.). I love salads. Bought and planted petunias for around my porch.
I've watched my grandson twice (I hate calling it "babysitting"), spent time with my father and sister (and nephew). Still, I take time to be on the computer, but it's limited. (Forgive me for not reading more posts.)
Tomorrow, I vote (ugh), see my Edward Jones manager (my "kids" have repaid me the loans I made this winter), grocery shop, go to the library, etc. Somehow, the book I checked out (Charles Dickens Bio) got wet on my trip and did damage, so I imagine I'll have to buy it.
I need a vacation! Have a good week.
