I know you're all dying to find out what's been happening in the life of yours truly lately. No? Too bad.
While nothing spectacular, events have occurred. In no particular order: I returned to the farmers market Sat. to assist my daughter Emily. Tomatoes were the big seller.
I've decided that any change in my daily routine screws up my "well-being". Getting up 2 hours earlier than normal "ruined" the rest of my day. I was so lethargic and out of sorts. I didn't get my walk or run in.
But, I bounced back Sunday. My nephew and family (3 kids) drove down from Chicago to see all us old folks. He manages a fancy restaurant called The Palms. The wine he brought with him was fantastic! I'm used to Carlos Rossi!
Had my chimney and stove cleaned out yesterday. Happy to spend the $150 not to have to climb up on the roof to do that anymore. I'm too old and fragile (really not, but it's a good excuse). I once "got stuck" up there--frozen in getting on and down the ladder. It won't be long before I'll stop cleaning the gutters.
Still golfing (yest and today). But I'm "babysitting" my grandson tomorrow. My SIL and I are meeting early with the county Soil and Conservation people at my farm to gather information about possible grants for land management and improvement. Then I'll bring Johnny home with me for the rest of the day. Wonderful!
Thursday, I'm going to the Indiana State Fair with Lynn (new "girl friend"). I haven't been in 30 or so years! I'll report back later.
Enjoy the rest of the week. Oh, we got rain and cooler temps last evening! I've lost 10 lbs this summer in this heat.
