Nothing Much

I really don't have anything in mind to write about. I'm drawing a blank.

Politics? Yuck. I've already said I'm sick of it all. I have discovered a new TV station on my DISH network. It's called RT news. It's "liberal", but with more than politics.

Sports? Well, around here, it's nothing but the Colts and their roster purging. Both IU and Purdue lost in the Big Ten tourney yest. Disappointing.

Weather? Still tornado clean-up news dominates. Warmer this weekend, but windy. I hate the wind.

Personal? Pretty boring around here. My daughter (Emily) and son (Jonny) are coming today to hang out while Nate works on the moved house foundation. She's bringing a meatloaf for supper! Luckily, I made corn "bread" yest to go with my ham and bean soup. Plenty leftover. (I put bread in quotes because I mixed recipes, adding real corn and bulgar.)
I got up during the night to look for the aurora, but no luck. They said it might be visible.

Like I said, nothing much. Have a good weekend.

While you had a mild winter, spring has not been as kind- lots of storms in the Midwest.

My neck of the woods has missed out on all the severe weather. Whew! (so far)

You aren't missing anything. I just took over your comment section to do a "mini blog." I'm bored. I've been bored for years. I wanted to get picked. Add some excitement to my life. I volunteered to work the library booth at a Mind, Body Spirit expo next Saturday, I said I'd work the Thanksgiving weekend for another expo, and I picked up compost worms today - I'm starting an indoor wormery. (oops, blogging in your comment area again)

You sound like my ex-wife: grass is always greener on the other side. The difference being, she searches for answers in religion, not worms! Good luck with that! I hope you find your "salvation".

I didn't get picked for jury duty. But I enjoyed going to the court house, riding a glass elevator up 18 floors (!! wow, like an amusement ride !!), seeing a court room, judge, lawyers, the accused all all that "law" stuff. The woman sitting next to me got on the jury!

What am I missing here? Are you blogging somewhere else now, and you didn't tell me (us)? Anyway, sounds like you WANTED to be on jury duty. Most people don't.

I looked up in the sky to the north a few times last night to no avail. I will try again tonight. Ever hopeful. Spring is here today. I am going to look up in the sky now for some sandhill cranes. It is the time of day when they fly over.

I heard from a friend this afternoon that she saw about 100 fly over. I went out to check but nothing overhead by me.

With these strong southerly winds we've been having, I think the cranes swoop overhead before I can catch them. Either that, or they've already passed by. They stop-over at Indiana's Jasper-Pulaski game preserve before heading north over you.

The time before this solar event we were supposed to be able to see the aurora in upstate NY, but it was cloudy. Someday....

I have a perfect viewpoint facing north to see the Northern lights, but I've never been lucky enough to observe them. Time's running out on me!!

True, I've been overeating lately. The food has been too good! But, I haven't gained any weight. Without tennis, are you gaining weight?
