Turning Point Tonight

I know it sounds a little melodramatic but tonight may just be the turning point to this Presidential election, taking center stage will be Sen. Joe Biden vs Gov. Sarah Palin. In representing their perspective parties each will try to make the case for who should be leading this country for the next 4 years. All I know about Sarah Palin is what I have read or seen on the television, I am impressed with her determination and her drive to succeed, but am skeptical of her level of experience and her ability to be able to deal with the Washington political scene. Sen. Joe Biden has been around for seems like forever, a product of the Washington political machine. Both bring baggage with them, Palin with a lack of political savvy and Biden with his old school politics..the kind Obama says he wants to change. I truly believe that tonight will change the landscape of the Presidential campaign picture, one for the better and one for the worse. I cannot remember in recent history where the choice for Vice President was just as, or even more so important as who we were choosing as President. Obama is untested under fire, does he have the tools to see this country through what could be some very rough and trying times? McCain, how much of a detriment will his age play if he is elected to the highest office in the country? One thing about McCain I have wondered, as he gets older how much of the effects of the torture he received while he was a POW will come into play. I had that same question about President Reagan, except with Reagan it was the onset of Alzheimer's combined with his advancing age. So tonight will definitely be "must see tv", to see who will be king of the hill..or sink faster then the Titanic.

Wonder if either will keep their foot out of their mouth--Palin has more to lose if she doesn't.
