It appeared the winter
Was coming to the end
And springtime
Was just around the bend.
The first robin
A warm, gentle breeze
An emergence
From the deep freeze.
The brown grass
Replaced by slivers of green
A beautiful sight
Prettiest that I have seen.
Flowering buds
Push up from the ground
It feels like forever
Since they've been around.
As the morning approaches
In the air there is still a chill
Maybe a gentle reminder
That mother nature still has a will.
But there is a reason to celebrate
A reason to give a cheer
Soon the earth will be reborn
For springtime will soon be here.
