Beliefs and Believing in What We Believe In

For those who know me know that I am not one to stand on a soap box and preach about my religious points of view. With that being said I believe in God and I believe in the bible. I have to shake my head at people though that sit here and say that just because they can quote the bible that's enough to make them a Christan, well it doesn't and if you think it does you're wrong. To me it's not enough to know the bible but I think you have to live it also. But I also believe that where people fail is their thinking is if that they commit one sin they are doomed, I can't imagine that God is that inflexible. I know people that are honorable, as honest and caring as anyone can be..but they never go to church. On the other hand I have seen people in church on Sunday who happen to be the worst example of Christan's you'll ever know. I will not rundown any ones religious beliefs, this is a free country and they way you choose to worship is as sacred as your right to vote is. But I do take exception to someone who will try to spout values, and religious beliefs and they're living a life totally opposite of what they are claiming. I know I am not the most religious person you will ever meet, but I try to live my life the best I possibly can and to try to be an example to my children. So now it is time for me to climb off my soap box and put it away..at least until the next time.
