In the last couple of years they have closed 2 of the 3 Friendly's in this area. One they knocked down the building and are putting in another Moe's, which we already have here. The other one was in a mall here, tbd what will be occupying that space.

Sondra Locke should've worn a t-shirt "it's not who you know..it's who you". I never found her to be that good of an actress, limited in her ability for drama or comedy. I am sure though that even when Clint kicked her to the curb she made him pay for it, I think she sued him for palimony. Clint did the same thing with Frances Fisher, they had a child together and then she was dumped.

It is truly sad, and it shows how soon life can come to an end.

Writing to me is a cheap form of therapy, I enjoy doing it and I think it helps my thought process. I have always enjoyed what you have written, though I haven't always left a comment. I am a fan

Hobbies for me come and go, I become interested in something and after a certain point I become disinterested. They all have been like that except for my writing, that has been the one constant in my life. I will probably keep doing that until I am no longer here.

About 45min north of here we have "Mercers", which is a local Ice Cream factory. They put out some pretty good ice cream, they can give the brand names a run for their money. I don't eat a lot of ice cream, in fact very little if any. After my gastric bypass in 2004 I found I had become partially lactose intolerant. If I consume enough ice cream I will get pretty sick for about an hour or so, but I still tempt fate now and again.

A little west of here we have the "Turning Stone" Casino, which is ran by the Oneida Indians. They also have a couple of gas stations and smoke shops(where people get discounted cigarettes). They just signed a no-compete contract with NYS, which means no other casino will be allowed to build in the area. For that the Oneida's will give NYS $50 million per year.

I remember the first place I ever ate at when I first went to Florida in 1980, it was a buffet place called Duffs. I want to say it was in South Daytona Beach, it was a Friday and they had alot of seafood.

My wife says the only reason I am still around is because she doesn't have the inclination to break someone new in...good servants are hard to find

The one thing about life is that we can never tell what is going to happen. We can take care of ourselves, do all the right things but it doesn't assure us a long & healthy life. It might better our odds, but in the long run it will be genetics and a little luck that will determine our departure from this earth.

We can spend money to bail out failing businesses, and we can throw money to fight a battle we have no way of winning. We can give money to countries who would like nothing more then to wipe us off the face of the earth. But we can't spend the money to take care of people in this country, and make sure our needs are met. We have people who don't have a place to live, or food to eat...and if we complain we are simply told we must "suck it up". Well I am tired of sucking it up and sacrificing, it is time for our needs to be met.

Even though I have lived in this city for the last 10 years I am and always be a "country boy". I was born and raised country, living in a place that was surrounded by woods. Going swimming in a river, didn't even swim in a indoor pool until I was in 7th grade. I'd still rather live in the country, but the wife is a "burb chick" and she wants to stay put.
