His wife screams at him as his friend listens in.

pajamas and I can't be bothered with cooking tonight! What the heck did you bring him home for?â€
"Because he's thinking of getting married...."

My wife says the only reason I am still around is because she doesn't have the inclination to break someone new in...good servants are hard to find

That's a good one. Mr. Troutbend always tells people not to get married. I think the reason he stays married to me is he doesn't want to be the subject of dinner table conversation among his relatives.
