Flawed

When we hear in the news about some celebrity (be it sports, movie, or otherwise) running afoul either with the law or in their personal lives we tend to be critical of their actions. We wonder how they could get themselves into such situations, after all they are famous and they make millions of dollars..how could they screw up like that?? Well to me the answer is somewhat simple, they are human beings. Like us they have flaws, and for whatever reasons they make bad decisions concerning their lives. These people are placed upon pedestals and worshiped as Gods, and when they fall off that pedestal we are left to wonder why. The one person I admired was Mark McGwire, and I think everybody knows what happened with him. I don't think he is a bad individual, I believe though that somewhere in his life he made a bad choice..and now he has to live with that every day for the rest of his life. If you want to take this farther we can use this with the people we know and meet in our everyday lives. When a person we know gets into trouble or makes a mistake or even confesses some misdeed we tend to make a snap judgment, rarely waiting to hear the other side of the story. The reason I bring this up is the recent blogs by Pirate, and the blogs which deal with this matter by Coincutter. It makes me laugh that a man with as many character flaws as Gary can sit in judgment of Pirate. I don't know if Pirate is guilty of anything, I for one don't really care for it doesn't affect me one way or another. I feel Pirate will judged and found to either be guilty or not, and we can have our opinions. To me the old saying is true, "People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw rocks". Am I perfect, not by a long shot and I will readily admit this..and I believe whoever you are you have faults and flaws too. It's all a part of being human..which I think is something we should remember.
