I watched as the sun faded
Into the western sky
Just hoping to see it
Once more before I die.
Then I realized
I would really regret
If I was to go
Before I was to see another sunset.
We live and we die
We walk a fine line
Living our destiny
Slaves to the hands of time.
Between happy and sad
We laugh and we cry
And before you know it
It's time to say goodbye.
Before it's over
When the journey ends
We hope someone will remember
Family, friends.
