You hear it in the news
Global warming is foretold
A punishment inherited
For which our souls we've sold.
Smokestacks belch ash and fumes
High up into the air
It's said we no longer mind
Thus we no longer care.
We've polluted out rivers
Our oceans, our lakes
Wat price will be paid
For all of these mistakes.
The skies cloud up
Acid rain begins to fall
Slowly killing all it touches
This should be a wake-up call.
This should not be happening
Not now, not here
Or there will be nothing left
To those we love so dear.
So think before you use
It'll save you regret
For this world is the only one
we have
It's our Earth, and our planet.
