As he sat upon the break wall
Watching the tide flow in and out
Examining the life he had led
A life of confusion and doubt.
He also gave thought to
Lessons learned, and needed to learn
Unsure in his heart
If he'd made the right turn.
The sun danced with the clouds
Like a ballet in the sky
He watched and marveled
It brought a tear to his eye.
He felt the ocean breeze
It softly touched his face
Still he questioned his existence
Why this time, why this place.
Was it a happy accident
Or part of a larger plan
Was he living up to expectations
Was he doing the best he can.
Still he sat upon the break wall
Just sitting there
Looking at the life he had
Thinking why should he care.
He stood and leaped into the ocean
The water was cold, but he did not care
Where was he going, his destination
He'd know..when he got there.
