A Day in the Life

I touched her hand
Caressed her hair
It was here and now
And I was happy to be there.
A lazy summer day
In a golden meadow
Just watching clouds pass by
As the warm breeze blows.
Later in the day
We will take a walk
Spending the day
With laughter and small talk.
I hold her
In a warm embrace
And there is no moment
That this could ever replace.
The sadness that she felt
Has all but left her heart
Even the shortest of journeys
Needs a place to start.
She is a part of my being
A part of my soul
She is the missing piece
Which makes me whole.
Later we will make love
By the glow of candlelight
And hold each other
Until the mornings first light.

Yes... it's like a memory that one keeps in the heart... to remember when times are cold. It's so soft and warm.

Okay, time to get critical--I've been too nice to you--I can't find anything wrong with this poem--so there!!!

As I have said previously, your poetry has universal appeal. We can all relate to what it addresses. Very lovely and lyrical.
