They gathered in the courtyard
Silently they cried
For their king had fallen
The day Camelot died.
A future cut short
A star no longer bright
Extinguished, vanquished
Turning day into night.
Plunging a country
Into the depths of hell
Wishing it was a mere dream
The day the king fell.
We watched the Queen
Her head held high
Along with the prince and princess
Bid a fond goodbye.
The people cried out for justice
For the person that was guilty
But he too was to fall
Justice was not to be.
So silently we watched
We watched, we cried
And wondered what tomorrow would bring
The day Camelot died.
