Lights surround the tree
All sparkling and bright
Rivaled only by the stars
That dance in the sky at night.
Ornaments of different shapes and sizes
Memories shared, places we've been
Past and present
Of family and friend.
Bringing fondness to the heart
For a joyous time of year
Remembering those people
That are and are not here.
Much more then a symbol
That's what it means to me
It is all that is warm and joyful
It is our Christmas tree.
