I was raised on some pretty strange varieties of music genres. My mother was a bit of a hippy and listened to Pink Floyd, Aerosmith, Gordon Lightfoot, Jim Croce, Led Zepplin…… Oh and Santana.
My Dad listened to old country. At the time, I hated it but as I've gotten older, when I hear a Patsy Cline, Waylne Jennings, Don Williams, Loretta Lynn or Conway Twitty song, I get a warm and fuzzy feeling in my belly.
But for some reason yesterday the DUMBEST song ever to be written popped into my head from the ol days.... I don't remember who sang it or all the words but these lyrics kept going through my head:
Someone left the cake out in the rain.
And I don’t think that I can take it
Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe agaaaiiiaaan...ooooh ooooh
That's almost as stupid as this song.... another I only remember this part:
Hello Wall..... I didn't see you standing there.
Boy they don't write em like that anymore.. Ha
"I want to ride my bicycle, I want to ride my bike"...... over and over again!
