My favorite artist is by far the band "tool". The lead singer/writer is a man named Maynard James and he is a GOD in my eyes/ears. If you are at all an agnostic person or athiest, you would find his lyrics completely amusing.
I got to see them live once and even at the back of the room it was an amazing show.
So after hearing that my favorite band is Tool you might be surprised to find out my second favorite is Patty Griffin. Who sings gospel like songs. There is one called "Mary" that is about Jesus' mother and it almost brings me to tears every time I hear it. Here is a snipit of the lyrics:
