Retirement Is Too Far Away

Wowzers

I have been busy!

I am feeling better about things lately, perhaps it's because I will be seeing the family tomorrow or because I am going to be far far away from here - not quite sure which is better but I am feeling good! I think it's more seeing the family though. I love them.

R and I have been opening presents every night since Saturday since we aren't going to be here on Christmas. It's been great! He's so thoughtful.

I feel lucky to have him in my life and appreciative that he stays with me even though I can be a BEAR sometimes! Especially after a bad day at work, which is almost every day...

I heard from two long lost friends recently too which I think is amazingly wonderful! It's so good to catch up with people. Where does the time go???

But Anyways... I have decided (with the help of someone I am starting to truly appreciate in my life) to focus more of my free time on growing closer to a goal - to become a dog trainer. I am going to start reading up on it and possibly volunteer my Saturdays to go to free classes to learn all I can... I am hoping that will alleviate this STUCK feeling I have been experiencing for some time now. It's good to have goals to focus on, but even better to start putting them in motion. Right? Right. It's not exactly what I want to be doing (which is working in a shelter with hands on ability to help pets in need - or of course the Farm Sanctuary!) but I think until then I can focus on a part of hands on pet care with training, and maybe at some point I can even make some money with it!

I am soooo excited to be in Milwaukee tomorrow! I can't wait to see my parents and my brother and his family and cousins and relatives and and and! It will be wonderful.

Merry Christmas everyone! I hope it's the best it can be for each and every one of you! :0)

Merry Christmas Kristy and R.Good luck with the dog training.I just feel sad for all the puppies that will be given as Christmas gifts that will end up in shelters. It makes me so sad.Maybe you can help with some adoptions in a few months when their families no longer want the poor sweet babies.Sorry, this was suppose to be a happy reply.Anyway, enjoy your family and be safe in your travels.Laurie
