Profound Thoughts from Lmn?

So I am addicted to Lifetime Movie Network. I loooove the channel, and I find myself getting hooked into it anytime I have it on. So, lately, I haven't been turning the TV on in the morning so I don't get stuck watching all these fabulous movies. haha

That said, I watched the movie 'Amish Grace' on LMN and found it profound... it's a movie about the Amish schoolhouse shooting, which I think we all are familiar with. There is a scene where the mother can't comprehend why her sister, who left the Amish lifestyle, is shunned and not talked about while the man who killed their child is simply forgiven. The Amish believe it is the only way to live, to not let hate into their hearts. Makes sense. I just found it fascinating.

There is also a lot of talk about God's work. They say it's God's work and God called their child back. That's all fine and good, but then if it's God's work, wouldn't he welcome the murderer with open arms for doing God's work for him? Afterall if it was all meant to be, then the shooter was meant to shoot the kids, right? There wouldn't be a need for Hell if it's all God's work - ya know?

These thoughts have pestered my brain for the past few days, so while men abroad (and my hubby included) think LMN is a waste of programming, it really got me thinking the other day.

All that said, I highly recommend you watch this movie if you can. It brought me to tears and I am not one to cry unless it's Pete's Dragon or another Disney cartoon where the mother or father dies too young. :0)

Happy Thursday peeps!

It is easy to get hooked on LMN. I have caught myself watching one movie after another. This one sounds especially good.

Disney is the devil. You are addicted to LMN. Ridiculous. But I am glad you enjoyed it!

Also do not believe till they proved it that there is a God.

I believe in Ghosts and such so I guess that's why I can believe in God.

I have not believed in God for a long time. There are too many contradictions as you have discovered.

Yeah, I dunno why it just occurred to me but it did...

I'll track it down and watch it. I think that is a good point about the shunning, seems they are saying they should forgive sinners who don't know better than to sin, but their own people should know better and suffer the consequences.

Well now that's true... I would highly recommend it, I really liked it!

Bambi would have you blubbering for sure. When I had my day care I couldn't read that book to anyone over five or they would know it wasn't really just a frog in my throat.

Oh yes, I cried at Bambi... all the Disney movies really!

If I had to wait for a rainy day, I won't be watching it till December. Rainy season is over here in the desert. LOL!

I am dreading it, but if I hate it I can quit and it's not a big deal... BUT I have loooooved not working, which I hope R has taken in and absorbed fully. And it's only part time so I can't complain TOO loudly... And yes, I highly recommend you watch this movie. Maybe on a rainy day?

Donna had this movie on the other night... I didn't realize it was a reenactment of the case until they had the soundbite of Brian Williams from Nightly News. I was playing games on FB at the time, so I only heard parts, but I'd agree: it's a movie worth watching. If you want another though to ponder, try this: Why is/was there inter-religious hostility about the "Jews killing Christ" when *his* plan was to die? It should be more like, thanks fro helping the boss with his project!

Well next time it's on you should watch it!
And you make a very interesting point! I would have to agree....
