So I am addicted to Lifetime Movie Network. I loooove the channel, and I find myself getting hooked into it anytime I have it on. So, lately, I haven't been turning the TV on in the morning so I don't get stuck watching all these fabulous movies. haha
That said, I watched the movie 'Amish Grace' on LMN and found it profound... it's a movie about the Amish schoolhouse shooting, which I think we all are familiar with. There is a scene where the mother can't comprehend why her sister, who left the Amish lifestyle, is shunned and not talked about while the man who killed their child is simply forgiven. The Amish believe it is the only way to live, to not let hate into their hearts. Makes sense. I just found it fascinating.
There is also a lot of talk about God's work. They say it's God's work and God called their child back. That's all fine and good, but then if it's God's work, wouldn't he welcome the murderer with open arms for doing God's work for him? Afterall if it was all meant to be, then the shooter was meant to shoot the kids, right? There wouldn't be a need for Hell if it's all God's work - ya know?
These thoughts have pestered my brain for the past few days, so while men abroad (and my hubby included) think LMN is a waste of programming, it really got me thinking the other day.
All that said, I highly recommend you watch this movie if you can. It brought me to tears and I am not one to cry unless it's Pete's Dragon or another Disney cartoon where the mother or father dies too young. :0)
Happy Thursday peeps!
