Dinner with the Turkeys

Every Thanksgiving I get invited to the Farm Sanctuary's Thanksgiving with the Turkeys, where they actually feed the turkeys instead of slaughtering them. I love this idea but haven't been able to make it up to NY yet for the event. Some day I will!

My vegetarian friend and I will be feasting on a Celebration Roast along with mashed potatoes, mac and cheese, rolls, veggie stuffing, corn and who knows what else. Yum! I am excited. The guys will be having turkey though.

I am excited for our getaway to the mountains. I am hoping this rainy dreary weather ceases and we are left with nice sunny brisk weather. All 4 pups should be happy!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, and let's hope the Packers win another game on Thursday!!!

Tell us about your Veggie roast and how you made it. I find myself eating
less and less meat. Although I am sick of pasta and beans.

My friend ended up bringing vegetable broth so we basted it in that, then we made the veggie chicken gravy - overall a fantastic meal!

You've answered my question (asked in a reply). A vegetarian roast. Interesting. Sounds like my sister (the vegan). I always love your enthusiasm. You anticipate events with "joie de vivre" (joy of living)!!

Oh yeah - sorry! I just answered you on your page. And yes, Barb probably is familiar with the celebration roast.

I love watching football on Thanksgiving day, and we'll be rooting for the Packers just because we know you.

Awe - Thanks! We ended up not getting the local channels, but there was a direct sports mix station that had little tiny boxes of sports on them, so we watched the packers on about a 2" screen. At least we had sound.
