Birthday

Well first off I want to say thank you to my fellow bloggers for the Happy Birthday wishes! :0) I truly had a wonderful birthday.

I woke up on Friday morning after R walked the boys and sang happy b-day to me. :0) I opened up the cards I had recieved and the present I got from my boss. She got me a veggie cookbook! Awesome! Then I showered and got ready to meet up with SB and decided to open up the present from my parents. I got a Klean Kanteen again! It's pink, 40oz and perfect. hehe She also sent me a few pictures with a frame and some clothes. Awesome! The only issue with the double Kleen Kanteens is that my co-worker got me one that is smaller - so I have to use hers even though I will be up every two minutes filling it! I think I will use it for a week or two, then switch em saying I liked it so much I got a bigger one and that I can use her's at home. :0)

Then I met up with SB for cocktails and lunch. We sat outside at a local restaurant and the weather was amazing. There were far too many bees for my taste, but we waited it out and they left us alone after awhile. We talked to the bored waiter for awhile, he was funny... after that I asked SB if she wanted to play some trivia, she agreed, so we went to the bar across the street to play some trivia. We ended up getting free drinks from a guy that we beat - it was him vs. us so it was fun. R joined us after awhile. Good times! Then later SB's Cookie met us out as well. YAY birthdays! R and I left shortly after to feed the boys and also see who had delivered flowers to me. R said it wasn't him so I was curious.

The flowers ended up being from work. Nice gesture! R got me flowers as well. Very pretty! :0) When I was home I opened up R's present to me. In the card he gave me he wrote a poem - so cute! He gave me $20 to play in Vegas and a Weight Watchers scale. DIGITAL SCALE! I feel as though I am joining the 21st century! hehe It also measures body fat somehow so I am excited to watch all that once I start being serious about losing weight again.

So then we went to our favorite watering hole. At this point in time I had been partaking in tasty beverages since 1:30 in the afternoon - it was 9pm. I was a bit tipsy! We arrived at the bar and I was greeted warm with happy birthday's! That place is amazing. A little later they gave me a cake and cards - and a box of wine. We always joke with the owner that he should sell boxed wine (to keep my bar tab lower than it is) so he gave me a box of wine... :0) It was soooo nice! I was completely surprised by it all and felt truly special. I didn't last long there tho - we were home by 11 I think.

Overall it was a great birthday. Oh, on Saturday morning I realized that I hadn't opened the present from R's parents. I was ecstatic to see they gave me the Sex and the City DVD and a $75 gift card to Kohls! YAY YAY YAY! I can get new clothes!!!! It's been a long time.... They totally spoil me! :0)

So yeah, people question why I look forward to birthdays after 30 and this day would be an example of why. I felt loved and special all day long and it was WONDERFUL! Also it was great to see SB and spend our days together. Perfecto.

Happy Sunday everyone!

That's a great birthday

According to a Consumer Reports summary, those scales work by sending a small electrical current up a leg, across the pelvis, and down the other leg. You have to be barefoot for this measurement. It's a measurement of resistance, because fat and muscle are different.
