Damages ...

We just had round three of today and tonight's vicious storms. The fourth and fifth rounds will arrive tonight and early morning. Three separate tornado watches and warnings encompassed us today and tonight, plus we now have flood warnings and road closures due to the near 4 inches of rain in one day.

The worst was the hail in late afternoon. My windshield is cracked in at least three places and the hood is visibly dented. The trunk lid only has a few paint nicks and the top looks much the same.

Back window is OK, I think. My driver's side mirror housing looks like it was damages. The back yard is almost covered with tree leaves.

I hope my car insurance covers this. I have total coverage, including all the extras, such as comprehensive, but someone told me it may be called and "act of god." WHOSE GOD?

I won't be able to afford to fix it if the insurance won't cover it.

Hope the storms left you unscathed.

I'm glad it was covered or you might have had to classify your ride as a 'hooptie.' I hear that phrase on Judge Mathis sometimes.

Good I am glad you are covered.

I think hail damage is covered in most insurance. Good luck!!

Glad that you are fine and the family there.
Good luck on the claim.

I am curious if insurance will cover it.. it seems like they aren't there when you need them most so please keep us posted. I am glad you and your kitties are still safe and sound!

I grabbed my baseball cards and photo albums and spent quality time in the basement last night! Nothing like a little excitement to spice ones life up!

Dear Jon, so sorry for the stress and damage. Hope your insurance does indeed cover. My b.i.l. is having his replaced after getting caught in a hail storm in Fort Myers and he said it would be covered.

State Farm telephone lines busy. Can't get through, so I'm going to my local agent's office when he opens up.

Never quite have seen a humdinger storm day like today either, JD. Four tornado warnings at the same time, hours of pouring rain, hail, wind....

The cats and I are still under the bed.

Your okay that's the main thing--with the way Mother Nature has been acting up (soliciting for Father Time???) I am sort of apprehensive about hurricane season which starts next week!

I saw a few hail stones that would match chicken eggs for size. A friend hardly got any and he lives seven blocks away. Up north of us in the same county they had hail measured over 3 inches thick and there are man many news accounts from local TV about baseball-size, grapefruit size and even larger chunks.
