This, That, and the Other

Good Thursday Morn, MyBloggerstown:
A new day beginns.  Lately it seems like the weeks are flying by.  Here it is Thursday and another one is gone. (I know what day it is because I looked it up on the calendar thingy on the tool bar.)  The dawn is breaking and the moon is still out and shining brightly.  That's pretty cool.   All the trees are getting lots of new leaves and the neighbor's lilac bush is out and filling the air with its trademark scent. The mourning doves are cooing and the other birds are chirping their heads off.  The weather has been gorgious for the past week.  I do so love this time of day and this time of year.

I hiked up to the library yesterday.  This task is getting harder and harder to do.  It's only a coupla blocks away but I thought I was gonna die.  I've been feeling kinda fatigued lately, and my joints are really on fire.  I thought "arthur" would let up once warmer weather set in but it seems worse.  Been thinking mebee I should call Dr. Whalebutt and have him check me over.  I have a regularly scheduled apointment next month and will try to hold out till then but I dunno.  While at the library,  one of my favorite places, by the by,  I picked up "The Reagan Diaries" and "The Audacity of Hope" by Barack Obama.  I started reading the Reagan book last year but didn't finish for some reason. And I've been dying to get ahold of Mr. Obama's book.  I'll give me insight into his thinking process and help me plan my campaign strategy.

Cletus, the landlord, came by yesterday to patch up the bullet holes in the wall.  Sez the jackass who shot up the house actually coughed up the dough for the repair.  He said he was pleasantly surprised 'cause he figured the asshole for a deadbeat who would leave him holding the bag.  One just never knows, does one?

Haven't heard from Jethrene, Crazy Sis, or Mama for a number of days.  They obviously don't want any favors from me at this time.  Good.  Although I do miss seeing the babies...and Brody/Buddy, of course.  I don't know why I just don't tell them all to just kiss my entire ass when they call whining for favors.  Because I'm a big, tenderhearted schmuck, that's why.

The neighbor's lilac bush, alluded to above,  causes me to harken back to the Flower City by the Lake.  But then again, what DOES'NT cause me to harken back to the Flower City by the Lake?  Said city is the Lilac Capital of the World.  Every spring they hold a Lilac Festival.  This year, according to friends still in the area, it begins on May 8th.   Hopefully, it will not be snowed out.  This event ushers in the festival season in the Flower City by the Lake.  There must be 20 or more festivals each summer there.   All the streets at the respective festival venues are blocked off and the ijit tourists come to town and make nuisenses of themselves.   It was a royal pain in the ass to try and get around town when these events were underway.  And they were underway all the time.  Still, I miss the place.  I miss the hustle and bustle, I miss the cultural atmosphere of a major metropolitan area, I miss my house and I miss my friends (one in particular, but we won't go into THAT).  But here I am, wasting away again in Devil's Asshole.  Life just aint fair is it?  But I am enjoying a glorious springtime in the south and that sorta takes some of the sting away.

Have a good rest of the week, everyone

I gave up on Alleve and now Ibuprofen is working pretty well for me. It seems to have built up over time to where I have some pretty good days. Hope you get to feeling better.

I dearly love the smell from lilac bushes. We had a huge one in our yard on the farm when I was growing up.

Our future president to be a plagiarist???? Compare that first paragraph to the song "Memories" and especially the last lines--or maybe Buggz is Andrew Lloyd Weber in disguise???

I have a lilac bush beside one of my bedroom windows; I love opening the window and allowing the delicate scent to come in.

I love Lilac bushes. We had one when I was growing up. I have seen several here along with the cherry blossoms.

I have been on all the arthritis wonder drugs and have found that two Aleve work just as well. Suss out O'Bama's tactics for your campaign. By the way, our Smart Gov. just announced he would vote for O'Bama as a super delegate. I am so glad. Give us a book review.

Love it! Get your bulletproof vest on!!! Last night while barbecuing some 'chikin' I sat at my back patio table, under the big ass umbrella, with my parakeet by my side in his cage screaming at the blackbirds, and read some damned good book. Burned the heck out of the chicken because the book was too good! BTW: My birdy doesn't like me eating other birds, so I told him it was fish.
