Good Wednesday Evening, Fellow Greasers:
    Just got off the phone with Maybelleen, my landlady. She may be a busybody but she is often a goldmine of information.  Seems she and Cletus heard something from the detective who investigated my "incident". Now, try and suspend your disbelief for a few minutes. This will help give you a good idear of how incredibly stupid people in this town are. According to Maybelleen, the detective sez he questioned the guy who lives in the house directly behind the apartment building; from whence he figured the shots came. The guy claimed he didn't do it, knew nothing about it, heard no gun shots. But...now pay attention 'cause here's where it gets stupid....he's willing to pay for the damages. Now does this make any kind of sense? He also stated that he owed no guns but....now get ready...what guns he owns are kept locked up. So what the guy is saying is he's willing to pay for damages resulting from an incident he didn't cause didn't hear and knows nothing about resulting from guns he doesn't own but keeps locked up. Had I been the detective I would have tossed this pinhead in the clink just for opening his idiotic pie hole with that mess.  I live in a land where logic and taking responsibility for any of your actions does not exist. Did he think that this blithering, sub moronic explaination would get him off the hook? But then that would have required him to actually think in the first place now wouldn't it? The sad part is he'll pro'lly get away with it.  This is Devil's Asshole....its through the looking glass....up is down, black is white, backward is forward. God, how I hate this place.
