May 15th the calendar sez....it's not even 60 degrees here in Cow Snot. Twice this week I awoke to find snow on the roofs of neighboring houses. I guess we gets no spring this year. This has got to be the wierdest climate I've ever been in.
We lost a coupla folks this week here at Shady Pines. One had a heart attack and one succumed to cancer. I guess when one lives in a building such as this, this is sort of thing is to be expected but it is still a shock. Both of them were elderly and we all hope they are in a better place.
Watching a re-make of that old movie "Flight of the Phoenix" This one stars Dennis Quade, the guy that plays House on "House" and some other people I do not recognize. Its not too bad. Re-makes usually blow, however.
Was watching where the oil company prick.... I mean execs were before congress the other day. I couldn't tell who was slinging more shit...them or the congresspersons questioning them. What got me though, was the the oil companies were whining about loosing their subsidies and threatening to increase gas prices if their gub'ment tits went dry. Is it me or does that sound like extortion to you? In the light of obscene profits while the rest of us are looking in our couch cushions for change to scrape together the next gallon of fuel, these jackasses have the nerve to sit there and act like the grasping greedy pigs they are. And the assholes on the congressional committee were equally galling feigning their high moral outrage, knowing full well they take campaign cotributions and God knows what else from these self same bastids. I say let's have a giant re-call election and toss out everyone, and I do mean EVERYONE, out of congress and elect new lying scumbags. Oooo, don't get me started. And speaking of lying (and cheating) scumbags...looks like ol' Newty is getting into the race. If he screws the country like he did his first two wives, we will be in a pickle. Looks like its time for me to take some decisive action. I need to think about what's best for our nation. Hmmm.(bugg takes off hat and contemplates)
