Good TGIF, MyBloggerstown:
Well, we finally got some much needed rain over the last week. It helped to cut the smoke out of the air and everyone can breath a little better. The firefighters were glad for it too, I know. The temps have moderated and the humidity has recinded so as I sit here now in the Bugg cave at, yes, 2 am, its quite pleasent.
It's that time of year again here in Cow Snot. Yes, friends its the annual clusterfuck known as Rodeo Days and the town is full of ijit tourists clogging up the streets, restaurants, stores, etc. You can always tell because the Wally World parking lot is full of campers and motor homes with out of state plates. Yes, for the last two weeks in July Cow Snot becomes the jackass capital of North America. (The rest of the time it is just the jackass capital of Wyoming. ) I 'aspose I shouldn't complain as all these yahoos bring in much needed dollars to the local economy and all but...damn. Where did these people learn to drive anyhow? I think they all got their licenses out of the Monkey Ward catalog. And that shows how old I am because I remember who and what Monkey Ward is..or was. But I digress.
I got brave this year and bought a tomato plant for out on our balcony. Last night I enjoyed the first of the little tomatoes from it. Man, was it good. It was so sweet, I almost didn't need salt on it. Two more little "babies" will be ready for consumption in a few days. There are nine total and to my surprize and relief nobody has stolen any....so far. I guess they are afraid that I will do as I have threatened and open up a 55 gallon drum of whip ass if I catch anyone messing with it. I named her "Audrey" after the man eating plant on Little Shop of Horrors. It just seemed appropriate somehow.
Otherwise, all is what passes for normal here in Cow Snot. Have a good weekend, everyone.
