    Well, by now most of you have heard of the massive fires that are plaguing our neck of the woods. As I sit here high atop Shady Pines I smell the smoke and see the haze that hangs over Cow Snot. At last report, the firefighters had a set back and the fire is now only 45% contained. We need some rain and for the vicious winds to die down. Lots of folks here who have respiratory problems already ( and some who don't) are having a hard time breathing and some have reported layers of ash over cars, lawn furniture, etc. Let's all do rain dances and hope this helps.
    In the news, that sick, disgusting, shitpoke pervert Jerry Sandusky (for some reason that name sounds very familiar to me) was found guilty of 45 of the 48 counts against him. Goody. I hope they put him into the worst shit hole prison they can find and throw him into the general population. They will fix him. He will suffer greatly before they finally kill him. Hopefully, justice will be done that way. Personally, I am for the death penalty for all pedophiles. And not no damn "lethal injection", either. Oven therapy. Let's move on.
    I had my 59th birthday the other day. As luck would have it that was the day that my needle biopsy (right boob) was scheduled. I'd been putting it off for months and the doctor was insisting. So I said the hell with it and got it over with. It wasn't as painful as I had anticipated. I've had mamograms that hurt worse. The results will be back on Monday, sez the doctor. For some strange reason, no one wanted to see my scar when I got home. Go figure.
    Tomorrow there is to be a cookout at brother Bubba's house in honor of mine and Crazy Sis's birthday (the day after mine). I will make some of my special baked beans and someone said something about watermellon. Yummy. Bubba will be doing the honors at the grill so the danger of ptomaine is minimal. I do love food cooked out of doors. The flavors are so much better.
