It is a Royal Poinciana--short term bloom though dazzling when it happens --sheds all over the place.
January weather is what made South Florida a tourist haven from the north though we do get some chilly weather now and then--all the way down to the 60s during the day and that is when you see people from Minnesota wearing ear muffs and complaining how cold it is
