Tropical Smoothie Cafe--restaurant Review

Entering the Harbor Shops Shopping Plaza hang a left, turn right and
about half way going south there is the Tropical Smoothie Cafe. It is a
bright clean looking place and in spite of what you may read below the
ladies behind the counter were very customer friendly. One was a
trainee--that might have been Marie who's name is on the receipt-- who
was being trained by a very smiling trainer.

We each had a coupon for a free flatbread and Allen ordered the Baja
chicken and I had the chicken pesto. All flatbreads are $4.99. Smoothies
come at 4 different prices from $4.72 to $5.66. I had the Blue Lagoon
(blueberries, strawberries and bananas) while Allen had the Peaches 'n
Silk (peaches, strawberries and bananas) and both were cold and
sm-o-o-o-o-o-th! In addition I ordered the turkey/bacon sandwich ($6.99)
which I really didn't need with the chicken flatbread.

The food, the service and the smoothies were fine and I really have
nothing to complain about but I still prefer a full service place so
chances are I wouldn't return
The area caters to the cruise ship customers and crew plus tourists from
the beach and Tropical Smoothie Cafe is a pleasant place to take a
break from shopping, running around and the heat.

Without the coupons the check would have been $26.39 but in all
probability without them I wouldn't have had the flatbread so the check
would have been $22.06 which is about average for lunch in this
neighborhood.

Sounds good. Although almost anything sounds good when the price is right!

It's interesting that the smoothies cost nearly the same as the sandwiches, but it sounds like they are worth it.
