Everyday when I walk out my back door I am greeted with this huge green tree which just 6
years ago was almost destroyed by hurricanes, It hides my water view now
with the full growth but it is a magnificent site!

Just
as you can see the beautiful Queen Crepe Myrtle trees all over Gateway
it is almost a guarantee you will see the medics here at least once a
day! Hey, the old folks have learned you can rest, relax, get fed, be
waited on--like a vacation- in the hospital so why not go there a couple
of days a month for a change in routine?

In
trying to make the Gateway Gazette more 'homey' I've been walking
around with my camera taking pictures here and there. The one on the
left was at the monthly General Assembly meeting and on the right is
Mary Lou, a volunteer, is working at the Country Cupboard.

The
invitation to the opening night of "Mamma Mia" at the Broward
Performing Arts Center came this afternoon so on Tuesday, July 19,
that's where we will be going. Allen has never seen it but he is a big
ABBA fan. I have seen the show and I remember the curtain call really be
a blast!

I
went to a new dermatologist today at Lighthouse Point--about 15 miles
north of Fort Lauderdale--and though I don't usually 'fall' for a
shopping strip this one was just so serene looking and feeling. They
have a spa, a yoga exercise shop and other 'new age' stores--with the
fountain and plants it was just a peaceful place to walk around.
