One
of the many joys of living in Florida, especially while daylight saving
time is still in effect, is that walking is such a pleasure. One never
knows what one will come across. Actually with all the lights along the
water walking after the sun goes down is just as enjoyable.
Before
going to see "Rain" the other evening, at the Broward Performing Arts
Center, we had a bite to eat at the Rok Burger restaurant in Himarshee
Village downtown ($20 for a burger and coffee??? ARGH!) and then walked
from the restaurant to the theatre. I should have, but didn't, take
pictures of all the dogs being walked--each seemed to be bigger than the
next--Great Danes, Labradors, Greyhounds, etc., each bigger and more
statuesque!
Here are some of the pictures I took.
After
20 years they are adding a $14 million expansion to the theatre
building a pavilion and a playhouse for school drama departments to use,
to the south (left) of the existing building.
Come on down and see my city!!!
