Folks
this is really getting harder each week. Last week I wrote a blog about
being retired and all that had to be done and this week it's worse. I
am seriously thinking of going back to work!!! (If you believe that I have some land in the Everglades I would like to sell you!)
I lived a very unplanned life and very seldom had goals but now that I am retired there are certain things I look forward to and high on that list is the lunch that Allen and I have every Wednesday. This week we went to a bar and grill called Slackers (review this weekend) in an area I use to live 15 or so years ago.
The
shopping center I use to go to every Thursday, to do my food shopping
at Winn Dixie, had been completely done over including the super market.
Next door to Slackers was a brand, new Dollar Tree store so you know
where I was going after lunch and next door to that was a Big Lots
store!!!Bliss!
After
those two stores we went to a new Out Of The Closet thrift store which
just opened last Saturday a few blocks from where I live. OOTC are non-profit thrift stores across the nation having pharmacies
attached concentrating on giving HIV tests and supplying drugs to the
AIDS community.
After
that it was time to go get our winning lotto and powerball tickets.
Hey, with the world coming to an end (you haven't heard?)Â we only have
10 days to spend our winnings!

An
exciting end to a great afternoon was when I got home and read the
e-mail with our invitations to the opening of the road company of "Hair"
in Miami on May 31. You see what I mean about being retired being so
hard??
