At one point tonight my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so big. I am in absolute awe at how great tonight turned out to be. Friday has definitely been my favorite day of the week.

At the last minute after many more beautiful e-mails from my new friend, he was able to have his ex take his son so we could spend some time together.

By the time my kids left with their Dad it was almost 7:00. We decided that we would love to go for a nice walk together while we chat. It's so nice to find someone else who likes the little things in life.

Believe it or not I was actually more nervous tonight than I was the first time we met. I think it's because of: 1.I've been running scared all week. 2. The amazing poem he wrote for me. 3. He openly expressed his strong feelings of connection with me.

Then as soon as he was here, it was just like last time (only even better)! We were completely comfortable around each other, felt like we'd known each other forever, had plenty to talk about.

O.K. I need to back up. When he arrived he said "Do you like gifts?" and I said "no, remember we talked about our uncomfortableness with receiving gifts?". He takes out of his coat (I never would have expected it in there), an 8X10 beautifully framed poem he wrote me. It was all typed perfectly on paper with a white rose background. At the bottom, there is a dedication to me and from him with the date.

*I can't stop smiling*

It is absolutely perfect, every detail. I put it right near my t.v. I am so honored, surprised and thankful. I'm so glad that tonight happened and I took a chance on seeing him again!

Now back to our night. I put the dogs on the leashes and we headed out for a walk. He asked if he could take one of the dogs so I gave him the little pug who peed on him last week! lol We walked perfectly together, the same stride. The dogs walked perfectly, totally respecting him as in control.

**side note** He and I spend so much time talking about my dogs and when I mentioned it to him tonight, you know what he said? lol He said "But they're so cute!"

While we were walking, I told him how nervous I was tonight and he said he wasn't nervous tonight. So me being the funny girl I am...walk him unknowingly to my sister's house and I spring on him "This is my sister's house. Are you nervous yet? Let's going in!" He's like "Really?" lol "Yup!" So with a big smile, he goes to meet my overprotective, lil sis and her hubby on our second date. He knows I've shared everything including the poem with her. I haven't talked to her since but I'm pretty sure she still really likes him. (I know I do) He was such a good sport.

Remember the chemistry thing? It's starting to happen already. We held hands tonight. He played with my curls and told me he loved them. He told me I was beautiful and that he knows we are still friends first but that he sees potential and feels like God has tapped him on the shoulder and told him he's found what he stopped looking for. He said I've touched his heart and he's willing to wait for me to heal and blossom into the rose in full bloom that he sees waiting inside of me.

Don't worry, we're both determined to do it right and take it slow. We are just so much alike.


I can still smell him from our hand holding and hug.

Our hands fit together like they were made for eachother.

I need to carry tonight in my pocket for a while.
