Zombies Invade Tiny Town

No this wasn't a headline today. It only happened in my house. Kota and I got out his playset this morning. It has a lot of pieces to it, a whole town. It also has a fire engine, police car and ambulance and little rescue workers. We had the town all set up when suddenly Kota declares that all the people are now zombies. The zombies proceeded to tear up the town, crash all the vehicles and just cause menace. LOL We had so much fun! I told Kota I wasn't feeling well, which was the truth and the reason I stayed home from work. After playing zombie town, he went and got my pillow and blanket and ordered me to the couch. He even made me soup for lunch! I also got yelled at for getting up to get my own drink. hehehe
We lost power for a while today due to high winds. Thank God for our gas fireplace! Hubby got home around 1 today which was really nice! We went out to dinner to the chinese buffet. Yummy! We stopped on the way home for snacks and soda's. Ginger ale for me as my tummy is a little upset. I will have to go to work tomorrow or they will think I called in cuz it was New Year's and I got drunk. Shoot, I will be lucky if I make it past 10 tonight!
I talked to several very good friends today. They are all very encouraging and supportive. One even told me to put my big girl panties on and show people how tough I am. LOL I laughed so hard at that one! But you see, the new me will not tolerate pity parties. A little voice in my head said, are you seriously going to let this get you down? After all you have been through this year??? And the answer is no. I am not down at all. I had a momentary lapse.
It is freezing cold here tonight. The wind chill is 13 degrees! But it is nice an cozy in my house. Kota wants to watch the ball drop but he gets very disappointed that it doesn't come crashing down at the end. LOL Typical boy.
Happy New Year my dear friends. Be safe tonight.

No pitty parties will be allowed in the coming year!!! Just grin and bear it - you will be stronger for it. After all, I have endured 87 years, some; of them pretty sad, but that is all deleted. Have a good day - hope the tummy is better. Your friend, Nena

I think the zombie-town play sounds like loads of fun.
Temps are supposed to plummet here, too, now that the snow has passed.
